Henry Hallam Dam – Sunday outing
THIS EVENT WAS TO TAKE PLACE IN MARCH BUT WAS RAINED OUT, WE WILL NOW HAVE IT IN APRIL!
Sunday April 21st: We will be visiting Henry Hallam Dam also called Harava Dam. This is a really interesting venue with lots to see. It is also a very pretty venue. For those wanting to share lifts, meet at Mukuvisi car park for a 0900 take off.
Directions : We advise only high clearance vehicles. Proceed with care out on the Seke road past Coke Corner, past the bottom end of the runway of the airport on the left. Fairly soon after the runway there is a big sign which says JUNCTION 24 – an interesting fairly open area where one can buy goats and sheep. Immediately after the Junction 24 sign turn left onto a dirt road toward a small shopping centre called Panyoko Hideout and Miranda Nite Club, pass this centre and pay your $2 entrance fee at a small security hut and gate. Continue along this road for 2.9Kms to get to a place where there is a flat rock on your left and a clearing on the right. We will botanise there from 9.45am.
